Prehistoric site with a small museum and gorges with chimneys of more than 15 m high nearby.
Numerous stone tools and animal fossils, dating from 60,000 to 100,000 years ago, have been unearthed at this site. A small museum is dedicated to them, the bulk of the finds being collected at the National Museum in Dar es Salaam. As in Olduvai, the origin of this prehistoric site is due to the presence of a large lake that has now disappeared. Not far from there, the Isimilia Gorge reveals chimneys over 15 m high.
