TWIGA HOTEL

Owned by Tanapa, Tanzania's national park authority, this camp has the distinction of being affordable and comfortable. It is located less than a kilometre from the headquarters, in the middle of gigantic trees where mischievous baboons reside, and offers a beautiful view of the Udzungwa mountains and giraffes (twiga in Swahili). The double rooms in the rest house are really basic, some with private bathroom... they are moderately well kept and remain expensive for these services. The camp welcomes families.
