Nungwi's Mama Mia Italian restaurant and ice-cream parlour recently opened in the heart of Stone Town, in front of Forodhani Garden. It's the best address for a sweet break in the capital. On the menu are ice creams and sorbets, of course, but also original icecream burgers combining ice cream and brioche, waffles with ice cream, and an inimitable homemade Italian tiramisù. You can also take a break here to get a good espresso to go. The store has no terrace tables, so everything is available to take away.
