If Hatari sounds familiar, it's not surprising, as the name of the lodge is the title of a John Wayne film that was shot here in the early 1960s. An hour's drive from the airport, surrounded by Arusha National Park, this luxury lodge blends in with the scenery to make your experience as authentic as possible. While the film dates back to 1962, the hotel is not, modern, with an assumed and contemporary decor. There is even a terrace where you can watch buffaloes, giraffes and other animals passing by, perfect with your morning coffee.
