THE WHITE DESERT

In this stretch of desert south of the Wadi Rum Protected Area, the sand is surprisingly white and contrasts with the brown of the mountains. If you can, explore this area on a camel ride or on a multi-day hike. You are about 40 kilometers from the village of Rum, and few tourists venture out here.
