Small house with collapsed stone wall, set in a natural cavity, with inscriptions found on some of the stones

Lawrence of Arabia would have stayed in 1917 in this small house with a collapsed stone wall. This one had been erected in front of a natural cavity and would mark the site of an ancient Nabatean caravanserai. Inscriptions were found on some of the stones. By going up the gorge on the left, one can enjoy beautiful views of the desert and the mountains below. One can also go straight up and enter the canyon of Umm Rashid.

Il ne reste qu'un bout de mur adossé a la montagne ... le site est tout de même assez sympa comme cela au milieu du désert.
Et c'est Lawrence d'Arabie !!!

Joli point de vue sur le désert, de belles perspectives.
Une échoppe tenue par des Bédouins permet de trouver un peu d'ombre, de boire un thé, et éventuellement de ramener quelques souvenirs.
Attention, les savons parfumés viennent d'Arabie Saoudite..!
