Read moreClose to the church of Saint George, this park contains interesting remains. Excavations have allowed, and still allow today, to discover the archaeological treasures of Madaba buried under the modern constructions. At the entrance of the park, one can see an exhibition of mosaics from several sites in the region. The oldest mosaic in the country, dating from the 1st century BC, comes from Herod's fortress at Macheronte. The entrance ticket also gives access to the Church of the Apostles, the Church of the Virgin Mary and the Hall of Hippolytus.
