Saaremaa Shipping Company is an Estonian shipping company serving the country's main islands, including Saaremaa and Hiiumaa. Founded in 1992, it employs around 150 people. Initially specializing in freight transport, the company shifted its focus to passenger and vehicle ferry services in 1994. Ferry services play a key role in the development of the island's economy. The company operates several ferry routes linking the main Estonian islands to the mainland, including Kuivastu-Virtsu, Rohuküla-Heltermaa, Rohuküla-Sviby and Triigi-Sõru. In 2016, the company's core business is the technical maintenance of ferries. It has a fleet of several ferries, including Muhumaa, Saaremaa, Hiiumaa, Regula, St Ola, Ionas, Harilaid, Kõrgelaid, Runö and Ormsö.
