RED TOWER - (PUNANE TORN)
Originally built as a prison, this tower features a painting exhibition and a boutique-workshop.
Contrary to its name, the building is not red but white, with only the roof featuring red tiles. This is the oldest building in Pärnu, dating from the 15th century and originally built as a prison. It is the only surviving tower of the medieval enclosure. Inside, there's an exhibition on the history of the tower and medieval Pärnu. Not far away are other fortifications - the Tallinn Gate, also known as the King's Gate.
