Klooga Memorial in Paldiski for an emotional and historic visit.
An emotionally-charged historical tour. A few kilometers before arriving in Paldiski from Tallinn, you can make a slight detour to the Klooga memorial. Established in 1943, it was originally a labor camp. Most of the Jews here came from Lithuania (mainly from the Vilnius and Kaunas camps) and a few from Latvia (mainly from the Salaspils camp). On September 19, 1944, 2,000 Jews from the Klooga concentration camp were executed and burned before the German army left the camp.
