Museum housing artefacts found on the site of the Choumen fortress and white ceramics from Preslav.
Occupying a massive monument from the socialist era, this museum is one of the largest and best-endowed in the country. The exhibits are extremely rich, with weapons, jewelry, numismatic and sphragistic collections, old printed books, icons and liturgical objects, ethnographic collections, a collection of film posters and much more. On the second floor, the most precious items are displayed in an armored room. A fascinating visit.
