Concert halls Sofia (София)

This building built in 1937 and renovated in 2011 offers exceptional acoustics. The Bulgaria Hall is the home of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra. The concerts are of a remarkable level and the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra performs here regularly. The box office is located at 1 Benkovski Street. In Cyrillic: Музикален център "Борис Христов". This cultural center is named after the Bulgarian opera singer Boris Hristov (1914-1993) and houses both the small museum dedicated to him and a stage for young talents, artists, musicians, singers. There is also a large concert hall. It is a great place to discover emerging artists. Always a good surprise when you are open to different musical styles.

Inaugurated in 1981 and served by a wide, long pedestrian thoroughfare, the National Palace of Culture, aka NDK (НДК), is a huge complex of massive architecture (300,000^m3 of concrete, 10,000 t of metal!), a landmark and rallying point for the city center. It is the largest conference and exhibition space in the Balkans. The NDK hosts numerous fairs and congresses. With about fifteen theaters, from 100 to 4,000 seats, it hosts many shows.
