PETRIFIED WOOD AND TIDIKELT PLAIN

West of In Salah, on the road to Reggane, at the beginning of the Tidikelt plain, in what is called the "palm of the hand", this "forest" of trees petrified by drought is difficult to visit because it is located in a military zone. Too bad because it is one of the most important deposits in the world. As for the Tidikelt itself, it is also a complete desert between In Salah and Reggane.
