After a long period of work, the tramway has recently reopened, but only partially. The last section should be operational in early 2020.

The tramway connects the Kasbah, from Tatache Square, to the heights of the Emir-Abdelkader city (ex-Faubourg-Lamy).

An intermediate station exists at the CHU, just after the Sidi M'Sid bridge. From the cable car cabins, you have a breathtaking view of the city, the Rhumel, the bridges and its gorges.
