The Bejaïa theater, built in 1936 and run by actress and director Nidhal since 2023, is getting a facelift and becoming increasingly welcoming. It has just been renovated. Its dynamic company frequently performs Algerian classics and children's shows. It regularly hosts theater companies, chaâbi masters, symphony orchestras and a literary café inviting visitors to discover or rediscover an Algerian author every Saturday.

Lieu magnifique malheureusement peu utilisé à part quelques attractions pour les enfants ou des galas de charité. Idem pour la superbe cinémathèque qui ne diffuse que quelques films sporadiquement sans respecter le programme affiché sur sa page Facebook. Bref un gros problème au niveau des manifestations culturelles. Dommage car les lieux existent ainsi que les personnes désireuses de les utiliser.
