Originally from Seville, Abu Abdallah Echoudi abandoned everything to retire here in 1266.

Commissioned in 1354 by Sultan Abu Inan Fares, the mosque was built on the model of that of Sidi Boumediene. Quite small and simply composed of a prayer room, a courtyard and a minaret, the building follows the steep slope on which it is built. The main door is decorated with polychrome arabesques and a canopy of green tiles supported by thirteen columns.
