Built in 1793, it is distinguished by its uncluttered architecture that recalls the mosques of Tlemcen and the Andalusian style: minaret with a square base decorated with bricks.
On the site of the Pearl Mosque, are the old Turkish baths built in 1708 by the bey Bouchlaghem. On this same site, the French built a military hospital from the first years of the occupation until 1843. This is what we call today the "old hospital of Oran".
