TAHTAHA PLACE

This square has long been one of the liveliest areas of M'dina Jdida with its cafes, parties and fantasias ... Today the square is much quieter because the shops in this giant bazaar district have gradually made it lose ground and it now seems that this square has lost its soul. In the middle stands a monument dedicated to the martyrs of the city. This square is also, unfortunately, the memory of one of the bloodiest attacks of the city, which took place on February 28, 1962, perpetrated the extreme right-wing organization OAS.
