CHINPI VILLAGE

An inexhaustible on the island of Beigan, this village is known for its beautiful Fujian style houses with sea view, perfectly preserved. Some of the houses are open to visitors. Take the time to wander into the streets and note the presence of many Chinese signs. They mention individual freedoms in Taiwan, against deprivation in mainland China. Perhaps a way to remind people of the chance they had not to live a few kilometres more in the west.
