MASHAN OBSERVATION STATION

At the northern tip of the island, as close as possible to the Chinese coast (only two kilometres away), the station is equipped with observation posts, from which you can see life on the other side of the small inlet. The radio station there was used to send propaganda messages to the people of Xianmen, mainland China. Its activity is nowadays limited to the diffusion of works by local musicians, but there is still a little taste of the Cold War.
