PENGHU AQUARIUM

Opened in 1998 and recently renovated, this aquarium has quickly established itself as one of the main tourist attractions of the archipelago. Located north of Makung, on Baisha Island, the aquarium is mainly dedicated to the underwater fauna of the region, in order to ensure the conservation of local species that are threatened with extinction. Most of the basins are home to corals typical of the archipelago and all the marine life that usually abounds there: barracudas, sea turtles, seahorses...
