KAOHSIUNG HISTORY MUSEUM

It was the Japanese who ordered the construction of this magnificent building, which combines Chinese and European influences, in 1938. The building then became the administrative centre of the city until 1998, when, for practical reasons, the municipal staff moved to another building. The following year, the monument was transformed into a museum housing an important collection of the city's history.
