TIEN SHANG

Before reaching the final leg of the road to the borders of Taroko National Park, Tienshang offers facilities for food and accommodation. There are grocery stores there, too. Tienshang is home to a few houses where the last locals who have not yet deserted the area live. Before you get there, don't forget to take a look at the magnificent landscape offered by the Maternal Devotion Bridge. From Tienshang, you can join several hiking trails, which are generally less frequented than those at the entrance to Taroko.
