Among the seven natural wonders of Asia, the Taroko Gorge - rightly meaning "beautiful" in the language of a friend - is of incredible splendour: 20 km of road overlooking a canyon closed on high marble cliffs. Extending from the central mountain range, the national park has 3,000 m peaks surrounding the Liwu River, waterfalls, hot springs, varied flora and these high marble cliffs... Numerous hiking trails allow you to explore every nook and cranny of the park, allowing you to escape the crowds of tourists that often crowd the area. All the attractions in the gorge are free of charge.
