LUKANG MAZU TEMPLE PILGRIMS’ BUILDING

Just in front of the temple of Mazu, this imposing sign is, despite its name, not exclusively reserved for pilgrims. Clean and cheap, but often full in high season and during religious holidays, despite a capacity of nearly 800 people. Staying in this dharamshala (pilgrim's hostel) is an authentic experience in itself, as one can meet travellers from all over Asia who come to the temple of Mazu to meditate.
