Built in 1769, this temple has undergone three renovations: in 1833, following an earthquake, in 1895, after a fire caused by Japanese troops, and in 1945, when the nationalists came to power. The last company is by far the most skillful. Under the direction of Master Li-Mei-Chu, she harmoniously blends Chinese culture, history and religion, with some Western references. The temple is dedicated to the saint of Ching Shui in mainland China, Chen Jau-Ying, whose image is celebrated in the mausoleum.
