Right next to the National Palace of History, these gardens of 8 ha divided into 17 sections are home to more than 1,600 species of flowers. Created by the Japanese administration in 1896 and today under the aegis of the Taiwanese equivalent of our National Forestry Administration, the Botanical Gardens have both a research and conservation vocation. If the most popular place is Lotus Lake, everything is worth visiting, if only to capture scenes of life: Fine Arts students penciling, newlyweds having their photos taken..

Jardin intéressant, notamment pour les nombreux oiseaux présents (et les nombreux chasseurs d'images qui s'y baladent avec leurs téléobjectifs!). L'occasion d'une balade sympathique si vous êtes dans le coin, ne vaut peut être pas le détour sinon.

J'y suis allé en février et les azalées commençaient à peine leur floraison. Je pense que si j'y avais été un ois plus tard cela aurait été magnifique. Sinon c'est assez sympa pour observer quelques oiseaux et surtout les écureuils.

Ce lieu est intéressant à visiter pour observer l'ambiance populaire qui y règne. La floraison des lotus a lieu en été. Le reste de l'année, le parc est beaucoup moins joli.
