In recent years, camping in Taiwan has become increasingly popular. Preferred option for budget travellers, camping in the archipelago is not exclusively reserved for them. Indeed, many natural sites on the island are still unexploited, and to discover them, camping is sometimes the only way to stay several days on site. The Camping Association lists most of the campsites in Taiwan. Please note that wild camping is allowed.
