MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) is the best way to get around Taipei. Easy to use (everything is in English) and very secure, it includes 6 major lines and two extensions. The price of the ticket is calculated according to the distance to be covered (between NT$20 and NT$65). However, the most financially interesting system remains the new Easy Card. It costs NT$500 at the counters, and offers a credit of NT$400 with no time limit, which saves 20% of the price on each trip. It runs from 6:00 to midnight.
