Village on the Malaysian border where you can cross the border and obtain a run visa, welcoming travelers and trucks.

This very small village is located on the Malaysian border, about 30 km from Satun. It used to be charming, but for the past few years its only interest is to cross the border and get a visa run. Many trucks, shops and travelers are telescoping to get to Wang Kelian, on the Malaysian side. The border post is open every day from 5am to 6pm. Normally a three-month stay in Malaysia is allowed without a visa for holders of a French, Belgian, Swiss and Canadian passport.
