A small Chinese temple in Phuket Town, called the Temple of Serene Light, distinguished by its Fujian architecture
This small Chinese temple, also known as the Shrine of the Serene Light, is one of the oldest in Phuket Town. Built in 1891, it has an architecture characteristic of Fujian China, where many of the Chinese Thais in present-day Phuket came from. Previously it was only accessible through a narrow alley, since its entrance has been widened so that everyone can enjoy its beauty. A back door at the back allows to reach the restaurant Kopitam by Wilai, on Thalang Road .
