RATTANA RANGSARN PALACE
This hilltop palace is a replica of a structure built to house King Chulalongkorn.
Built on a hilltop in the center of the city, the Rattana Rangsarn Palace (or Throne Hall) was completed in 2015. It is a replica of a structure originally built in the same location to welcome King Chulalongkorn on his 1890 tour of the Malay Peninsula. Guided tour in English. There's a wealth of information on Ranong's history, as well as photos of the original palace and antiques. After visiting the palace, we recommend climbing to the top of Khao Nives for a panoramic view.
