This historic town center is known for its temples, small shops and colorful restaurants.

The town centre of Phetchaburi is well worth a visit for a walk. The historical traces of the Khmer occupation are still there, with the presence of numerous temples. The river is also a focal point in the city: it is here that you can best immerse yourself in its old-fashioned charm, with its small shops, colourful restaurants and stalls full of eclectic goods. In the Ban Kum district, along the river, old traditional wooden buildings built on stilts can be seen.
