CORENT OPPIDUM
The Corentoppidum is one of the region's major Gallic and Gallo-Roman archaeological sites.
The Corent plateau is home to one of the region's most important Gallic and Gallo-Roman archaeological sites. The first remains were discovered during ploughing operations at the summit of the Puy de Corent. The Département du Puy-de-Dôme has owned the site since 2007. Landscaping features make the site easy to understand. They show off the vast square, the sanctuary, dwellings from the Bronze Age to the Roman era, and a theater whose terraces were built in 2025. A virtual tour takes you back to the 1st century BC.
