The park is located in the province of Sara Buri, southwest of Khorat. This natural park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, covers an area of 2,200 km². The mountains are only about 1,350 m high, but it is one of the largest natural forests in Southeast Asia. Some 70 species of mammals and 300 species of birds live here: elephants (wild), tigers, bears, leopards, gibbons, macaques and pythons.
