Museum housing a collection of prehistoric and Gallo-Roman artifacts.
In 1903, Jean-Baptiste Bargoin bequeathed 200,000 francs to the city of Clermont-Ferrand to open a museum. Today it has two departments: one devoted to archaeology, with a collection of prehistoric and Gallo-Roman artifacts, and a second that presents textiles from around the world in temporary exhibitions. Soon, the ex-votos of Les Roches will be exhibited again. Guided tours, game trails, conferences, workshops and lunch breaks enrich the program. The documentation center is free to access.
