Mutual aid between neighbors Clermont-Ferrand

Every year, more than 20,000 people are welcomed by Secours populaire français in the Puy-de-Dôme department. Emergency aid, food parcels, second-hand clothes, homework help, workshops (cooking, sophrology, gym, theatre), legal aid, support for employment, access to culture, sports activities, holidays... Secours Pop" implements numerous actions for adults, children, parents and families.

Secours Catholique was founded more than 70 years ago at the national level. It provides material and food aid to disadvantaged people. It helps modest families to go on vacation and provides emergency support. Many activities are organized. It is also a place of listening, which participates in campaigns to bring people together, beyond their ethnic and religious affiliation.
Secours Catholique functions essentially thanks to volunteers. There are nearly 850 volunteers in the Cantal/Puy-de-Dôme delegation, which is not necessarily enough to ensure the various activities offered. The structure is always looking for volunteers.

Specialized in food aid, the departmental headquarters of the Restos du coeur also offers workshops for its beneficiaries: integration workcamps to find a job, but also fight against illiteracy, hairdressing, sewing, computers, self-esteem... The structure has set up personalized accompaniment for access to housing, to various rights, to budgeting, to obtaining a microcredit... These missions are carried out thanks to more than 800 volunteers. To help the more than 6,000 families welcomed each year by the Restos du coeur 63, you can join the team of volunteers, support the association financially or participate in the annual collections.
