It's the story of a joke between friends... which has become one of the most emblematic brands of the Clermont-Ferrand "way of life". Originally, four roommates who wanted to make the Auvergne attractive to their friends by nicknaming it French California. The idea appealed to them and went from being confidential to public in just a few years. Today, the brand has a dedicated boutique just a stone's throw from the cathedral, two collections a year and fun evenings organised at each launch. Definitely turned towards nature and committed, French California offers organic cotton textiles, accessories (hats, water bottles...) and presents other small objects from local talents.
