Restaurant offering a variety of dishes and honest food.

Located at the entrance to carré Jaude 2, L'Auguste boasts an elegant, rather designer decor for a brasserie. Named after Augustonemetum, an ancient Gallo-Roman city in the Clermont-Ferrand area, L'Auguste is just as refined on the plate. Dishes are varied and honest. A great deal of effort has gone into presentation, as in the case of the saint-nectaire salad or the tasty tuna tataki with French fries. L'Auguste is also a daytime tea room, for a break between two shopping sessions.

Je mets 2 étoiles car personnelle agréable. Par contre retard pour ma commande car erreur lors de la prise de commande. Les steaks sont trop cuits en surface et la choucroute de la Mer est fade et sans goût au niveau crevettes, noix de Saint Jacques et poissons car surgelés. J'en ai parlé au moment de payer, j'ai eu des excuses pour l'erreur de commande et le plat mais aucun geste commercial. Je ne m'attendais pas à de la grande cuisine mais je suis vraiment déçu.

Nous sommes venue pour une pause douceur
L’accueil chaleureux et joviale par monsieur frisé (grand comique).
La chantilly était délicieuse ainsi que la gaufre. Le tout se mariait très bien.
