A warm restaurant located in Clermont-Ferrand, offering in its menu sandwiches, brunches and home-made juices.
Le Grin (pronounced grain - in Mali, it's a meeting place) is a hybrid place, at once a bookstore, an associative café, a cultural space and now a restaurant! Mathieu and Mariam, from the association Kodon, have created a multicultural, warm and welcoming space for sharing, just like their couple. The books recovered by the association cover all literatures, the floor being reserved for the Library of the Africans. The restaurant's menu also takes us on a journey, with its dwich formulas, homemade juices and brunches all week long.

Concept au top pour ce café-restau-travail-librairie d'occasion. Je n'ai pas encore eu le plaisir de goûter à la cuisine (dont la carte me fait de l'oeil) mais leurs cafés sont très bons. L'accueil est très chaleureux : tout est réuni pour faire du Grin un de mes endroits préférés de Clermont-Fd !

De l'accueil à la cuisine, en passant par le fait de se sentir comme à la maison dans ce lieu réconfortant, on ne peut que faire des éloges des hôtes et de cette ambiance si agréable ! Je recommande +++

Amazing place! We were looking for a place to eat and study afterwards. The man behind the bar that served us was so nice and accommodating even though my boyfriend and I struggled a little bit with the language since our brains were always switching to spanish. He was super nice and even played subtle spanish music in the place then. The food was excellent, I had the one with Haloumi and he had the vegetarian kebab with mushrooms and I definitely recommend this one! All the books in the back give you a little bit of that library feeling which is great for studying and gives a cozy vibe. The big windows and the openness of the place are also beautiful. The kitchen was open and you could look inside from where we sat and it looked super clean and I like seeing how my food is prepared. I would recommend this place in every aspect. Great food, great coffee, great location and ambient and great service.
