Located in a maze of small streets across the road from the Kithala Resort, this is an interesting stopover for small budgets in a green environment near the lake. Vikum Lodge offers 13 rooms, 12 of which are air-conditioned. They are more than adequate for a night or two, allowing you to discover the city and the nearby Yala National Park. We offer a decent breakfast and can provide meals on request. Bicycles are available for rent for a walk along the lake or to go into town.

The prices in Sri Lanka clearly extended from the publication of the guide, but particularly with this guesthouse (Rs2200 instead of 1500Rs mentioned, except tourist period). There were not even towels, and very basic cuisine is very expensive. Even if the welcome is friendly, disappointment, especially as this bill was savoury our trip.
