It is the only observatory in the Indian Ocean and French overseas departments and territories. It is better to go there early to be sure to get the sun and it is better to book because it is an association, run by volunteers. The place has several rooms including a planetarium, an exhibition area, a room with traditional instruments of star observation, etc.. Ask about the dates of the observation evenings and book well in advance: night outings are in great demand. Bring a vest, even in summer, as it can be cold.

magnifique soirée étoilée
Après 3 annulations pour météo défavorable, ce soir fut le bon !! La persévérance paye toujours, très beau spectacle. Réservation à l'avance mais les soirées valent le coup, je conseille
