You will descend 180 m underground to discover the life of the miner by taking the more than a century old cage. Be reassured! A beautiful adventure towards these numerous staged scenes. Eighteen scenes from the daily life of miners are presented one by one. The underground railway is one of the must-see features of the visit, as is the captivating development of the workers' social life.

VELENJE CASTLE
Read moreVelenje Castle (Wöllan) was built in the 13th century. The interior of a 1930s inn has also been reconstructed with period furniture. The museum presents an ethnological collection of Southern Africa as well as batiks. Impressionist painting, collection of baroque religious art before ending the visit with a prehistoric elephant discovered in the neighbourhood of Velenje in 1964. The bones are in the display cases. An exhibition is also devoted to the Šaleška Valley during World War II.
