In Bohinj, the return of the cows to the valley after grazing high up in the mountains is celebrated with joy and good humour.

Bohinj has been organizing the event for over sixty years. Launched in 1954, this popular ball is in fact a festive parade that celebrates the return of the cows to the Bohinj valley after the time of grazing in altitude. The cows are adorned with various decorations to highlight them. They parade alongside the farmers and shepherds. Don't hesitate to visit the artisanal market which offers quality farm products, such as charcuterie and cheese. Another way to discover the region of Bohinj!
