This fountain was made in the famous studio of Ivan Vurnik, an artist from the city, known for having opened the first school of architecture in the country. The statue itself is by Jožef Pavlin. It is a strong tribute to the financial and personal commitment of Josipina Hočevar (1824-1911) to access to education. At that time, it was very rare for a statue to be dedicated to a woman. It depicts a schoolboy holding a medallion depicting Josipina and a textbook in his hands.

This charming museum will give you an overview of the last two millennia of world pharmacy, with a special emphasis on its development on Slovenian territory. It contains more than 2,000 exhibits: pharmacy equipment from the 18th and 19th centuries, a collection of decorated ceramic vessels for storing medicines, a pharmacy, an alchemy laboratory, a collection of mortars, as well as a number of period scales and weights.

Parish church where most of the services celebrated in the city are held. Its first major renovation dates back to 1495. It can be seen from afar in its Gothic structure, reconstructed in the 19th century. Inside, you will find the paws of Slovenian artists of the time: the black marble altar, which may surprise you, is signed Ludovic Bombassi from Ljubljana.
