This paved pedestrian and shopping square is dominated by the beautiful baroque facade of the town hall. In front of the square is the Carniolan Rivers Fountain (1751) by Francesco Robba, inspired by Bernini's fountain in Piazza Navona in Rome, with the Sava, Krka and Ljubljanica rivers as allegorical figures. From the classical period, the Souvan house opposite No. 24 and the Rakovec house at No. 17, where France Prešeren lived for several years, remain.
