From this old fort, part of the enclosure remains, a corner tower and, inside, narrow streets lined with old houses. A good testimony to the turbulent times of the Middle Ages, it offers an interesting walk. Lovers of this kind of architecture will also visit Prompsat, Plauzat, Espirat… The forts are numerous in Limagne. They correspond to the low prices of the strong castles, where the populations were going to take refuge. Temporary shelters were built to accommodate them. The very small rooms, a cellar surmounted by a room, very narrow and separated by alleys to save space within the fortifications.
