KALUI RESTAURANT

World cuisine restaurant €€
4.5/5

One of the best addresses in the city, both in terms of décor and cuisine. A stylish decoration all in wood and bamboo, a cosy and arty atmosphere where the atmosphere is really pleasant. As for the cooking, the cuisine is well done (although some people find it uneven), we come here especially to taste fresh seafood like lapu-lapu, crayfish, lobster or crab. The prices are quite reasonable considering the quality. Reservations are required (your hotel can arrange this). Not to be missed.

CAPTAIN RIBS

Whether you're only spending a few hours or part of your stay in Puerto Princesa, Captain Rib's is always a good idea (especially for meat lovers). This is one of the must-stop places in Palawan. Ideally located near the airport, this Franco-Filipino restaurant has managed to distinguish itself thanks to its simple, cheap and gourmet cuisine, a remarkably friendly atmosphere and a very pleasant setting. As you can imagine, here the ribs are the specialty, but you will be able to taste all types of grills and good small dishes.

It is a large restaurant typically Filipino with its many wooden tables and rattan chairs. Ideal to come with friends or family, in group, the atmosphere is friendly and often animated. As for the cuisine, it offers Filipino and Western classics such as grilled pusit (octopus), green mango salad, blue marlin steak or tamilok (local aphrodisiac). You can dine al fresco, watch sports on a big screen, play pool... Nice to come and have a drink too. A good address.

BALINSASAYAW CHICKEN GRILL

Asian cuisine restaurant

In a tropical setting (including a small bridge that spans a stream where turtles graze), we eat under small thatched huts. On the menu, Filipino specialties such as fried squid, kare kare (stew of vegetables, beef, tripe in a peanut sauce), sizzling pork , sisig (roughly pig's head and liver) or adobong kangkong (spinach stew in vinegar). You can also eat grilled chicken with all kinds of sauces!

KA INATÔ

Restaurant

There are two branches of this restaurant that offer a wide variety of Filipino dishes in Puerto Princesa, one near the airport with a more authentic, colorful and artisanal decoration and the other in the city center in a more impersonal setting. Filipinos love to go there especially to eat grilled chicken but you can also be tempted by the chicken sizzling or the seafood dishes. Note that the menu offers some desserts like buko, which is rather rare in the Philippines. A good place to eat local.
