Banaue

Between the breathtaking view of the rice fields and the hospitality of Denwil, Joel and their family, Bogah Lodge feels like a little paradise. Bogah means "rice" in Ifugao. The food is very good, the hosts also act as guides (of great quality!) to organize your days. Here, no fuss, basic and warm rooms, a big family atmosphere, it is easy to discuss with other travelers on the large terrace. A small stream runs underneath, very soothing. If you want to experience sleeping in a native house, the traditional habitat of the Ifugao villages, this is the place for you! There are several huts, each with its own bathroom and a breathtaking view. The owners are very helpful and can organize all your excursions in the surrounding rice fields. A breakfast is served in the morning, and the cherry on the cake: it is possible to ask to light a fire in front of your hut.

This very original establishment overlooks the rice fields of Hapao, a few kilometers from Banaue and offers breathtaking views. The huts are very simple but warm and the common bathrooms are well kept and clean. There is a good international atmosphere. Excellent welcome from the owners, Graham and Monina, appreciated. At the restaurant, you can enjoy a continental breakfast in the morning and a very good cuisine the rest of the day. A good address, a little away from Banaue for even more change of scenery.
