STRICTLY PROTECTED AREA OF KHASAGT KHAIRKHAN UUL

This park, with an area of 274 km², is located about 40 km northwest of the city of Altai. The mountain range is protected to allow argalis, ibex and snow leopards to roam freely. The fauna in the reserve is rich: lynx, deer, weasels and bearded vultures live there. The creation of this protected area dates back to 1965. An ideal setting to get away from the beaten track.
